Free half day Universal Pre-K (UPK Site # 31RAAA) with Pre-K 4 extended day; Pre-K through 8th Grade. The Academy of St. Dorothy was founded in 1932 by the Sisters of St. Dorothy. The Sisters continue to be involved with the spiritual guidance of the children and their families. The Academy of Saint Dorothy is an AdvancED accredited school, featuring air conditioned classrooms with technology integrated into various aspects of classroom instruction. Drama, Girl Scouts, Music Lessons, Chess and Bricks 4 Kidz are offered as after school activities. The ASD Sports program includes Basketball, Bowling, Cross-Country and Track along with various clinics to introduce students to other sports. The Academy of St. Dorothy family is dedicated to helping those in need through a variety of community service projects. Our students are well-rounded individuals who receive a quality education and embody the values of caring and compassion.

Founded in 1917, Blessed Sacrament School strives to provide students with a Christian foundation that assists them in developing spiritually, academically, and socially. We take pride in challenging our students academically, but the ultimate goal of our faculty and staff is to be positive role models for our students and guide them to walk in the path of Jesus. We foster an atmosphere of love where all students are treated with dignity and respect. We offer free Universal Pre K 4 year old program through our Blessed Sacrament Early Childhood Academy.

Grades Pre-K – 8th, Pre-K 3 year old Program, FREE Universal Pre-K 4 year old program (UPK Site # 03RAIX), Grades K-8. Early drop off and after-care available. AdvancED Accredited, ADNY schools follow the NYS Learning Standards ; Sacramental Preparations; Enrichment includes: Technology, Art, Physical Education, Music, Italian and Book club grades 5-8. Our goal has always been to secure the future of Catholic education on Staten Island and we have seen a great need for a seamless educational experience from PreK 3 through 8th grade that will welcome students of all learning levels and from all communities. The new academy’s namesake, Father Vincent Capodanno, a Staten Island resident, joined the Maryknolls as a missionary at the age of 20, went on to become a military chaplain, and died heroically while administering last rites to a dying soldier on the battlefield during the Vietnam War. Father Capodanno was an ordinary man who did extraordinary things in his life, and the Vatican’s Congregation for the Causes of Saints has officially accepted his cause for sainthood. The new name of the school will convey to our students that they must excel in every endeavor and fearlessly accept every challenge, just as Father Vincent Capodanno did.

Grades Pre-K to 8 (UPK Site # 31RAEX); Meets New York State Educational Standards; Follows Archdiocesan Essential Learning Plan; Full-time Nurse on staff; Grades Kindergarten through 8th feature multisensory reading and real life math connections to meet NYS Standards. STEM, Trout in the Classroom Initiative and Conservation Initiatives driving science curriculum, SEL, Music and Yoga to address the whole child. Extensive community partnerships with Veterans and NYPD. Welcoming students with varying learning styles. Onsite SETSS, Speech, OT, PT and Counseling available. Founded in 1903 by the sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame, Notre Dame Academy is an all-girls Catholic school located on Grymes Hill, Staten Island. It is the Academy’s mission to advance, embody and excel at educating girls and young women to transform society. Notre Dame provides a nurturing and academically challenging community that enables each girl to develop a sense of identity and self-confidence preparing her to be a responsible member of her school and her world community. Admission is offered to applicants in the 2, 3 and 4 year old programs, and Kindergarten through Grade 8. Most students go on to attend Notre Dame Academy High School. Founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1959, Our Lady of the Sea School is dedicated to all student’s growth in faith, academics, personal awareness, social interaction and future success. Through diverse classroom instruction, teachers strive to instill strong Christian values, a desire to learn, the ability to meet challenges and a rich understanding of the world.

Grades Pre-K to 8; Our Lady Star of the Sea offers a rigorous curriculum from Pre-K (3 and 4 year olds) to grade 8 in a fully air-conditioned building. Our enrichment programs include Art, Music, Computer classes, for all students, as well as Spanish for grades PreK to 5. We have a very active chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. Our students are invited to participate in STEM programs such as Bricks for Kidz Stem program for grades K to 5; Super Nova Stem Program for grades 5 and 6, and the SOLE program with St. Joseph by the Sea HS for students in grades 6-8. In addition to a fully equipped technology lab, we have Chromebook deployment from grades K to 5 and in grades 6-8 we utilize iPads for all subjects. At Our Lady Star of the Sea, students have the opportunity to become involved in Social Justice Issues within our community. In order to keep our students safe and healthy we have an ADAPP counselor is available 3 days a week, a full-time Department of Health Nurse and 2 full-time security guards. We also offer a fully inclusive sports program.

Sacred Heart School provides all children with a Values-Infusion Curriculum deeply rooted in Catholicism.
