Founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1959, Our Lady of the Sea School is dedicated to all student’s growth in faith, academics, personal awareness, social interaction and future success. Through diverse classroom instruction, teachers strive to instill strong Christian values, a desire to learn, the ability to meet challenges and a rich understanding of the world.
Grades Pre-K to 8; Our teachers are state certified and ADNY schools follow the NYS Learning Standards; Our Lady Star of the Sea offers a rigorous curriculum from Pre-K (3 and 4 year olds) to grade 8 in a fully air-conditioned building. Our enrichment programs include Art, Music, Computer classes, and Spanish for grades PreK to 5th, Performing Arts Academy for grades 6 to 8th, National Junior Honor Society, Super Nova Stem Program for grades 5th and 6th, Bricks for Kidz Stem program for grades K to 5th, I-Pads grades 6 to 8, Chromebook deployment grades K to 5th. At Our Lady Star of the Sea, students have the opportunity to become involved in Social Justice Issues within our community. ADAPP counselor is available 3 days a week, a full-time Department of Health Nurse and 2 full-time security guards. Early morning drop off and an aftercare program available. We also offer a fully inclusive sports program.
