Good Shepherd Elementary School
Since 1925, Good Shepherd School has been dedicated to providing a quality Catholic education for grades Pre-K 3 to 8 and has served as the academic anchor of the Inwood neighborhood of Manhattan. Firmly rooted in our Catholic values and embracing today’s best pedagogical practices, we strive to develop each child’s personal spirituality through a strong academic program based on the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Free 3K and UPK for all programs (UPK Site # 06MADL). Daily prayer, weekly Mass and sacramental preparation; early morning drop-off; safe environment for Grades K to 8; free breakfast and lunch programs; enrichment programs including musical theater, chorus, kinder dance; afterschool program; fully equipped computer and robotics lab; science lab; computers in every classroom; Google Classroom Program with Chromebooks; Enhanced Literacy Through Technology; TACHS (Test for Admission to a Catholic High School) preparation classes; MAP Growth Assessment and NYS Exams for Grades 3 through 8; Girl Scout program; and student academic and behavioral counseling services. Full-time nurse on staff.
