Christ the King School
Christ the King School is a Roman Catholic Elementary School located in the Mount Eden neighborhood in the Bronx, New York. The school has served as a beacon of academic excellence since 1965 and continues to enrich and educate the young minds that will become the leaders of tomorrow.
Christ the King School offers free 3K and UPK (Universal Pre-Kindergarten) programs, Site ID #09XAAX. Through these programs, children develop their social-emotional skills using a creative, play-based curriculum that fosters learning, exploration, and growth. The school provides a comprehensive academic program for students from Kindergarten through Grade 8, following the Next Generation Learning Standards. The K–8 curriculum includes Religion, Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts, with classrooms that are group-structured and teacher-facilitated to promote collaboration, engagement, and individualized learning. Students have access to free breakfast, snack, and lunch programs, a STREAM Computer and Science Lab, Physical Education and Health classes, and additional support through Special Education services and the Catapult Title I enrichment program. We also offer a before-school program for children who may need to enter school earlier than regular school hours. Faith formation extends beyond the classroom through monthly school Masses held at our beautiful Christ the King Church, where students also have opportunities for spiritual growth as Altar Servers. Families benefit from a faculty-staffed after-school program, and students can participate in a wide range of extracurricular programs, including Yearbook, Student Council, Ballet Dancing, Karate, Read-A-Recipe, Coding, Basketball, and more.
