Registration for TACHS closes October 30, 2024!

Follow these three easy steps:

  • Select Your High School of Choice: click here to locate your school of choice in our School Finder (select “High Schools” to filter your selection. See below for available virtual tours, open houses and TACHs Prep Courses!
  • Click here to register online — starting at 9:00am on Monday, August 26, 2024. The window closes at 11:59pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2024!
  • Visit tachsinfo.com to learn more. You can also register by calling 1-866-61TACHS (1-866-618-2247). Once registration is completed, you will receive an email. Read the email thoroughly for other important information and “next steps.”

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS AND TIMELINES

WHO

Students in the eighth grade during the 2024-2025 school year wishing to apply for fall 2025 admission into Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of New York, the Diocese of Brooklyn/Queens and the Diocese of Rockville Centre Long Island are eligible.

WHEN

  • Archdiocese of New York: Friday, November 8, 2024 (8:30 and 10:00am Sessions. All extended time students will be assigned to the 8:30am Session.)
  • Diocese of Brooklyn/Queens: Saturday, November 9, 2024
  • Diocese of Rockville Center (Catholic High Schools of Long Island): Saturday, November 9, 2024

WHAT

  • The remote online TACHS test is designed to measure school aptitude and scholastic achievement in Reading, Mathematics, and Language.

HOW

Start by viewing the 2024 TACHS Parent Calendar. You can find more information by clicking here for the detailed 2024 Registration Instructions, and here for complete Student Handbook.

Beginning Monday, August 26, 2024, there will be two ways to register:

  • Via the Internet (Preferred): visit www.tachsinfo.com; or
  • By phone at 1-866-61TACHS (1-866-618-2247). Open from 8:00am to 7:00pm Monday–Friday and 10:00am to 2:00pm  Saturday–Sunday (Eastern Time).
  • Please register by one method only, duplicate registrations will result in a processing fee.
  • LAST DAY TO REGISTER: October 30, 2024

Students requesting an extended time accommodation must send an email to Carmen Leon at secondary.schools@adnyeducation.org by Friday October 4, 2024. The form can be found online by clicking here.

Other important deadlines:

  • Deadline to enter high school choices: Friday November 8, 2024
  • Deadline for submitting applicant records to high schools: December 10, 2024
  • ADNY admissions release date: Wednesday January 22, 2025

FEE

A registration fee of $71 per student, payable by credit card, debit card or pre-paid card. Debit cards will be processed as credit transactions, and processing will be at the discretion of each individual’s bank.

The fee will include a student handbook, test materials, and the reporting of scores to THREE high schools of your choice.
