Under the leadership of Principal Mr. Lawrence Hansen, St. Joseph Hill Academy Elementary School embodies the Daughters of Divine Charity’s mission of making God’s love visible through education. Our vision, “Where Tradition Meets Innovation,” comes to life in classrooms that blend time-tested teaching methods with cutting-edge learning approaches. Students receive a comprehensive education that seamlessly integrates Catholic values throughout the curriculum, helping them connect Gospel teachings to their daily lives and academic studies. Through this balanced approach, we nurture both academic excellence and spiritual growth.
Grades Pre-K 3 to 8; St. Joseph Hill Academy Elementary School provides exceptional education from Pre-K 3 through Grade 8, holding Middle States Accreditation and following NYS Learning Standards. Our school has earned prestigious recognition including Blue Ribbon Award nomination and Project Lead the Way Distinguished School status for both Launch (PreK-5) and Gateway (6-8) STEM programs. Our commitment to academic excellence is evident through comprehensive programs including Spanish instruction across all grades, Early Literacy initiatives, and Frog Street Pre-K curriculum. We enhance our Early Literacy program through our dynamic Visiting Author Series, helping students develop a genuine love for reading. Our Early Childhood program offers a nurturing environment where children develop social skills, creativity, and early language abilities through interactive activities. We also offer a two-year-old Mommy and Me class that strengthens parent-child bonds through a shared learning experience. Our cutting-edge facilities feature the Collaborative Learning Technology Center equipped with advanced computing for robotics and e-Sports, an Anatomage Table for 3D anatomy visualization, and the new Gerardi Athletic Field Complex with basketball court and turf field. Students engage in diverse athletics, while also participating in enrichment programs spanning art, music, physical education, and dance. Our extensive extra-curricular offerings include archery, cooking, podcasting, theater, artificial intelligence club, fencing, woodworking, and more.
