St. Jean Baptiste High School, a college preparatory school, educates young women to become women of faith, service and commitment. Rooted in the spirit of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, St. Jean’s empowers your daughter to participate actively in the transformation of society for a more just world.
SJB follows New York State and Archdiocese of New York guidelines and is AdvancED Accredited. Advanced Placement (AP) college and honors classes are offered; Grade 12 students participate in a Christian Service Program; SmartBoard technology is available in every classroom; Extra-curricular activities include: the National, French and Spanish Honor Societies, Student Council and SJB Ambassadors; A varied activities and sports program offers students opportunities to make friends, to develop leadership skills and to participate in projects in the wider arena of New York City. Students have been accepted into a variety of competitive enrichment programs particularly in the fine arts and in the field of science. Our recently renovated building and new addition include a chapel, the Wave Caf, library, college counseling suite, physical fitness room, art studio and two new science labs.
