Saint George Academy, founded in 1946, is an international, coeducational college preparatory high school located in Manhattan’s East Village. Rooted in the tradition of intellectual rigor and cultural vitality, Saint George offers a classical education designed for ambitious students who thrive in a small, dynamic environment. Here, academic challenge meets creative energy in one of New York City’s most iconic neighborhoods.

Now recognized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Candidate School, Saint George Academy blends strong academics with meaningful, real-world learning. Students explore the East Village as an extended classroom — from museums and universities to art spaces and cultural institutions — and travel abroad each year on educational trips across Europe.

Founded by the Basilian Order and inspired by the parable of Saint George, the Academy continues to embody resilience, courage, and the pursuit of excellence.
