Our Lady of Lourdes High School (OLLHS) is a premier Coeducational Independent Catholic High School in the Hudson Valley. OLLHS offers a rigorous college preparatory education to a diverse student population. The school’s 18-acre campus is located in the town of Poughkeepsie, New York amid the lush landscape of the Hudson River Valley. Students in grades 9 through 12 are offered an inspiring and rigorous academic experience dedicated to the pursuit of Sanctitas et Scientia – Holiness and Knowledge. Our Lady of Lourdes High School is dedicated to creating an educational experience that focuses on the development of the whole person: spiritually, intellectually, physically, and emotionally.

School At-a-Glance

The school’s curriculum features Honors, AP, and College level courses, and next-generation classrooms integrate academics with advanced technological resources. Schoolwide curriculum and instruction are designed to foster personal responsibility, intellectual curiosity, creativity, self-confidence, and academic excellence. Students have opportunities for inquiry-based learning combined with a commitment to a traditional literacy focus utilizing Chromebooks and Canvas Learning Management System. Over 25 Advanced Placement (AP), and College level courses are available at the school. College courses are offered through a partnership with Dutchess Community College. OLLHS boasts 100% college placement with 86% of recent graduates accepted to their first-choice college and 95% of recent graduates earning an average of 33 college credits. SAT scores are consistently above the national and New York State mean scores and OLLHS is annually represented in the National Merit Competition with National Merit Scholarship winners, finalists, semifinalists, and commended students. The school offers advanced programs in Science, Mathematics, Computer Programming, Forensics, Business and Health Sciences, and many more. OLLHS continues to expand its Arts with Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Dance, Select Chorus, Photography, Theater Arts & Studio Art. Students can choose from more than 70 Clubs and Athletic teams.
