NEW ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS AVAILABLE FOR CATHOLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN THE ARCHDIOCESE OF NEW YORK
Scholarships and Financial Assistance Increased for the 2016-2017 Academic Year

(February 8, 2016 – New York, NY) – Dr. Timothy J. McNiff, Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of New York, is pleased to announce that a new online application and increased financial assistance are now available for families applying to Catholic elementary schools in the Archdiocese of New York.
The simple, free online application can be found at www.CatholicSchoolsNY.org or by calling
646-794-2885 between 9:00-5:00 pm for assistance. Once applications are received, families are invited to come to their school of choice for an in-person interview. Families will learn of their child’s acceptance and about any scholarship or tuition assistance they will be receiving after the interview has taken place and all supplementary documents have been submitted.
New students entering Kindergarten through Grade 8 completing both the admissions application and the financial assistance/scholarship application by March 9, 2016 will receive decisions regarding acceptance and financial assistance/scholarship no later than April 22, 2016. Applications will remain open after the March 9, 2016 early decision deadline.
Scholarships and financial assistance for the 2016-2017 school year will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Last year more than 8,100 scholarship/tuition assistance awards averaging $2,100 were distributed across the archdiocese. This year, the archdiocese expects to make several thousand additional awards with an expected total of approximately 10,000, based on demand and applications that meet the established criteria.

Academic success starts in our early childhood programs and continues throughout the elementary and high school grades. We are proud that more than 98% of our high school seniors graduate and 99% of those graduates go on to college or post-secondary education.”
