Iona Preparatory Lower School is a Catholic community inspired by the charism of Blessed Edmund Rice as expressed in the Essential Elements of a Christian Brothers Education. We develop young men into moral and ethical leaders who are dedicated to Christian service and who strive for spiritual, intellectual and physical excellence.

Iona Preparatory is a Catholic prep school for young men founded by the Christian Brothers in 1916 and situated on a 27-acre campus. The Christian Brothers were founded for the purpose of educating boys and have remained faithful to the mission of their founder, Blessed Edmund Rice. For more than 100 years, the School of the Immaculate Conception (ICS), has provided students with a high-quality, faith-based education grounded in Catholic values and a commitment to serving others. ICS is nestled on an 12-acre campus in the village of Tuckahoe. In 2016, ICS was chosen as one of only three schools in the Archdiocese of New York to pilot an innovative new tool, “Blended Learning,” a technique that combines online lessons with digital and person-to-person learning experiences coordinated by teachers in a traditional classroom setting.

Welcome! We invite you to come and see for yourself why St. Joe’s is the ideal school for your child. St. Joseph’s School is rooted in Catholic values and academic excellence. We focus on the development of the whole person by promoting service to others, social-emotional learning and physical well-being. In addition to our traditional academic curriculum and Sacramental preparation program, St. Joseph’s School offers a cutting-edge computer science program (CS at SJS), through which students become fluent in coding, website design, and graphic art. In essence, students not only learn how to use technology but also how to develop technology. In response to the Covid-19 Pandemic, St. Joe’s instituted GEMS (God, Emotions, and Mindfulness). This initiative provides remote, confidential, and individualized support to students and families who require support with social-emotional functioning and learning. In 2020 the school completed a major renovation which included the construction of a Science, Technology, Reading, Art and Computer (TRAC), Center and STEM Lab. Resurrection Elementary School (Grammar School/Middle School) is a parish based school committed to developing genuine love of learning within each child. In the Catholic tradition, students are encouraged to not only work diligently in the classroom, but be boys and girls of character and give back to the community. Religion is recognized, not as an isolated subject, but rather as an integral part of the school curriculum. The faculty sees each child as a unique individual and believes in their role to help form Christian character and values within each child. New York State curriculum is followed in all academic areas, however, it is a values-infused curriculum.
