On Monday, September 25 the Catholic School Region of Manhattan hosted Songs for Students, a benefit concert starring Harry Connick Jr., at Harlem’s World Famous Apollo Theater. Over 1,100 guests raised close to $300,000 to support a number of regional initiatives for academics, technology, extracurricular enrichment, and facilities.

About the Catholic School Region of Manhattan

The Catholic School Region of Manhattan is one of nine Catholic elementary school regions in the Archdiocese of New York. Each region is a separate, not-for-profit, educational corporation chartered by the New York State Department of Education. The Region’s 14 schools educate over 3,800 students throughout the borough.

Manhattan Catholic schools—in partnership with their donors—provide uplifting communities that encourage children to lead fulfilling, charitable lives. We welcome families of all religious, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, with a special commitment to providing students with the values and skills needed for a bright future.
